Humble Man my Master

“Everything boils down to basic” is a usual saying of Mr. Gyembo Namgyel. He is former Bhutan Observer reporter from eastern Bhutan. He was reporting from farm land for last eight years.  He resigns as reporter from Bhutan Observer despite of his promotion and pay hike, only on one reason that he don’t want to go for transfer to Thimphu, capital of Bhutan. In contrary, most of the people want to stay in capital and those who are placed in various parts of Bhutan are trying tooth and nail to get transfer to Thimphu. In order to get transfer some people try to produce fake medical certification while others are trying to produce marriage certificate so and so forth. Yet it is very difficult to get transfer.
Unlike most of the Bhutanese people Gembo Namgyel lost his promotion, pay hike and his job for transferring to Thimphu.
At present Bhutan is facing chronic problem on rural urban migration and literally some of the villages are emptying on rural urban migration. Our government is trying all the means and ways to retain and to mitigate the rural urban migration. At such time man like Mr. Gyembo Namgyel will be typical example and rest of the people should learn from him. Lots of question arises in me what holds him back to stay in village? What interests him? What discourage him to go to Thimphu? What are the charms of village life? Which holds him back?
He is originally from Bumthang Chamkhar. However, he is married to Namgkhorpa under Shumar Geog, Pemagatshel. Now his sense has been brought to Nangkhor and he has become totally Pemagatshelpa.
He is giant and huge with short and curly hair. He never keeps his hair long; he knows when to get his hair cut. He always wears national dress. Most of the time he wears black gho and he wears only one shoe as if he has only one shoe. If you met him for the first time you will find him very serious as he seldom talks. However, he is not serious and he is good at heart and he has clear consensus and intention. His head is full with optimism and positivity. He has special eyes that can see good thing in very bad things. He used to say “Whatever happens happens for good” He is very well educated but never ever ask about his qualification as you will never get the answer.
When I realize, I had early became his fan and I had inherited unlimited knowledge and wisdom from him. Now I have become extended family of his. Whenever I have free time, I go to him and we spent hours and hours of time talking on various topics. This helps me to gain knowledge and wisdom. I have changed my personality too for good.
I would encourage other people also to have interaction with this wholesome man which will greatly benefit you, provided if you are knowledge craving person.
At present he is working on special project on Rural Urban Migration funded by Bhutan Media Foundation.
The documentary production crew from Thimphu had come to his residence to interview him on his life in village.
He is a man of example.

Thank You.
